Preferences - File System

In case of a program crash, use this option to determine the location of the crash report. Or set the locations of the log files or images used in ShortKeys.

File Paths

Images folder

The Insert Image function includes an option to keep a copy of the image in a separate folder. The location to store the image copies is defined with this setting.

Logs folder

In the Miscellaneous preference settings there are options available to log any unusual events that may occur with the program or to log the update status. Choose to store the log files in the default location or change to another folder.

Crash Report folder

This option specifies the path and folder where crash reports are saved. Crash reports are generated by an unexpected closing of the program. The details of the problem are saved to a file that begins with 'error' and ends with '.TXT' in the folder specified here.

File Options

Close open macro files before loading another macro file

This setting instructs the program to close any shortkey (.shk) files currently open in the program when another macro file is loaded.

The setting chosen will be the default when using the File > Open File menu from the ShortKeys window. This setting also affects double clicking on a .shk macro file to load it into the program, loading a file from a command line, or the File > Reopen menu option.
